OVERVIEW

Esurance Icer Air will welcome athletes from around the world to participate in a one of a kind showcase in one of the most gorgeous cities in the country. Spectators of all ages will be able to watch these great sports competitors show their imaginative daring in the following disciplines: skiing, snowboarding, freestyle moto-x, bmx, and skateboarding. Throughout the day, a diverse showcase of musical talent will perform. In addition to an array of action sports and music, Esurance Icer Air will feature an Interactive Sponsor Village, with many fun activities and giveaways for spectators.  

 

VENUE INFORMATION

Esurance Icer Air takes place at McCovey Cove (Lot A) next to AT&T Park on October 18, 2008.

 

TICKETS

Esurance Icer Air requires a ticket for entry. Event tickets range from $28 - $48. Advance tickets may be purchased from www.icerair.com and Sports Basement stores.  Tickets will be available on the days of the event based on availability. The Esurance Icer Air venue consists of big air skiing and snowboarding, freestyle motocross, skate and bmx park, and concert stage. Esurance Icer Air tickets are non-refundable.

WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

For the safety and comfort of all spectators, the following items are not allowed at the Icer Air Venue:

Bags larger than 16×16x8

     - Hard sided coolers, glass bottles, cans

     - No alcoholic beverages are allowed to be brought into the venues

     -  Weapons, pets, folding chairs, umbrellas

     - Laser lights, stickers, skateboards, bicycles and inline skates

     - Only Icer Air sponsored brands will be showcased at this event.  Non-sponsor items brought into the Venue will be confiscated.  Violators will be prosecuted.

 

Please note the following Icer Air Policies:

     - Spectators must wear shoes. No bare feet allowed.

     - Icer Air is not responsible for lost or stolen goods

     - Icer Air reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone at any time.

     - All bags and persons entering the venue are subject to be searched.

     - A security checkpoint is located at the main entrance of the venue.

     - No one is allowed to reproduce or rebroadcast any film or videotape of the event for commercial purposes without the written permission of the Icer Air Staff.

 

SPECTATOR SERVICES/GUEST SERVICES

The Spectator Services Booth (at the entrance of the Icer Air Venue ) is the designated area for all event information regarding competition schedules, venue maps, venue activities, lost and found, wheelchair viewing, autograph signing sessions, and all other event services offered.  If a guest is separated from their party, they will use this location as their designated meeting area.

 

TRANSPORTATION

Icer Air encourages the use of public transportation to the event. Please refer to the following websites for more detailed information and schedules.

 

BART Service

BART provides service directly to AT&T Park via a transfer to MUNI Metro. MUNI Metro N-Line inbound or specifically marked ballpark trains at Embarcadero Station. It is a 15-20 minute walk from the Embarcadero or Montgomery Street BART Stations.

Bus Service

Regular MUNI bus service on the 10, 15, 30, 42 and 47 lines provide service to within one block of AT&T Park.

CAL Train Service

The Fourth and King Street CAL Train station is located one block from AT&T Park.

Ferry Service

The China Basin Ferry Terminal is adjacent to Seals Plaza behind the scoreboard. Direct Ferry Service to the ballpark is available from Larkspur and Oakland/Alameda Ferry Terminals. Spectators may also take ferries from Vallejo, Tiburon, and Sausalito to the San Francisco Ferry Building, from which they can walk to AT&T Park or transfer to MUNI at the Embarcadero Station.

MUNI Metro

The Second and King Street MUNI Metro Station is directly in front of AT&T Park. The MUNI Metro N Line serves the Second and King Street station.

 

DRIVING DIRECTIONS

From the Peninsula/South Bay

Take 1-280 north (or I-101 north to I-280 north) to the Mariposa Street exit. Turn right on Mariposa Street, then left on Third Street to get to the venue.

From the East Bay

Take I-80/Bay Bridge to the Fifth Street exit. Exit onto Harrison Street. Turn left onto 6th Street and continue onto I-280 South. Take first exit at 18th Street and turn left onto 18th Street. Continue over freeway on 18th and turn left onto 3rd Street. Continue on 3rd Street to the venue.

From the North Bay

Take Highway 101 south/Golden Gate Bridge to the Marina Blvd. exit. Continue on Marina Blvd. past Fort Mason and turn left onto Bay Street. Continue on Bay and turn right onto the Embarcadero. Continue on the Embarcadero under the Bay Bridge until it turns into King Street. Turn left onto 3rd Street (ATT Park is on your left) and continue across the bridge to McCovey Cove.

These directions provide the most direct routes to the venue, but other city streets and freeway exits also provide alternate routes that spectators are encouraged to use to avoid congestion.

 

PARKING

Several parking lots are located within close proximity to McCovey Cove.
